Timekeeping

Course
The route will be marked with spray paint, signs, and marker tape. There is no guarantee that the route will be continuously and seamlessly marked, which would make it unnecessary to navigate the terrain. In particular, the markings can be altered or removed due to adverse weather conditions or, unfortunately, by third parties.
Some routes include steep sections, which can also be very rugged and rocky. Depending on the weather (including before the event), some paths and trails may also be muddy and slippery.
Important: Course marshals can only be found at aid stations and prominent trail junctions.
Checkpoints and Aid Stations
Information on aid and timing stations can be found on the course map.
Discontinuation
Participants who decide to discontinue the race for whatever reason (exhaustion, injury, etc.) must immediately report this to the nearest aid station, course marshal, or race office. The organizer does not guarantee return transport. However, participants may contact the staff at the aid stations to join the return transport. For participants who do not withdraw, the organizer may initiate a search operation at the participant’s expense.
Disqualification
Anyone who does not complete the course or fails to pass the checkpoints will be disqualified.
Time Limits
There are time limits by which participants must pass the checkpoints at the latest. If the time limits are not met, the participants in question will be disqualified from the race.
The time limits can be found in the race announcement.
Accompanying participants
It is not permitted to accompany participants on a mountain bike or similar vehicle. Dogs are not permitted for wildlife conservation reasons.
Environmental and Nature Conservation
The race largely passes through nature and landscape conservation areas. Littering of any kind is strictly prohibited, otherwise the continuation of the event will be jeopardized.
